Imran khan polition By Adnan Shoukat

Imran Khan is a Pakistani politician and former Prime Minister of Pakistan. He is the chairman of the political party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), which he founded in 1996. Before entering politics, Imran Khan was a well-known cricketer and one of Pakistan's most celebrated sports figures, having led the national cricket team to victory in the 1992 Cricket World Cup.

Khan's political journey began when he formed PTI with the goal of creating a corruption-free Pakistan, promoting justice, and improving the country's governance. However, his party struggled for years to gain significant political traction. It wasn’t until the 2013 general elections, where PTI emerged as a major political force, that Khan gained substantial political influence. In the 2018 general elections, PTI won the largest share of the vote, and Imran Khan became the 22nd Prime Minister of Pakistan.

As Prime Minister, Imran Khan focused on issues such as economic reform, poverty alleviation, and anti-corruption initiatives. His tenure, however, faced criticism for economic challenges, inflation, and handling of domestic and international political matters.

Imran Khan was ousted from office in April 2022 after a vote of no-confidence was passed against him in the National Assembly. This led to political unrest and protests, as he accused his political opponents and foreign powers of orchestrating his removal. His political career has been marked by both strong support and significant opposition.

Despite his ousting, Khan remains a powerful figure in Pakistani politics, leading PTI and continuing to challenge the political establishment.
